As the winter months roll in, be prepared for this to take effect on your air suspension!
Frost/freezing temperatures can cause internal freezing of the natural condensation formed in your airlines, manifold and tank. The air inside the system is also as cold as the outside air and will instantly freeze any non-frosted areas as soon as you use the system. This can cause your compressors and/or manifold valves to halt working whilst the system defrosts, and this can be days away! Adding in a small dose of Air Brake Antifreeze will prevent frost/ice build up and also combats further moisture.
Best practice is to add in 30-50ml of Air Brake Antifreeze solution to help defrost any already icy areas and help maintain a frost-free system throughout winter. This solution will not effect the system's performance and is completely safe to use in contact with nylon lines, rubber seals and connections etc. Just pop the Air Brake Antifreeze directly into your tank and off you go!
We recommend adding Air Brake Antifreeze once every 2-3 months for a regularly driven vehicle. Our kit comes with one dose. Always keep your vehicle at ride height during colder months as good practice and empty any water traps/tank drains every month too.
