Dave Collict is a customer long appreciated at OCD. He's only ever owned stunning, show cars & he keeps his cars in utterly top condition! His current 25th Anniversary GTI, we replaced the existing air suspension & management he inherited with the car, upgrading to BAGS Suspension Pack & 3P management. Cambelt, water pump & brake fluid - Dave got in touch, this time, looking for general service work. Asking for a new cambelt, water pump & associated parts, insisting all must be genuine! Only the best for Dave's Golfs! With Matt being an ex VW Technician, jobs like this are his bread & butter. We supplied all the genuine parts required & replaced the cambelt kit, water pump & ribbed drive belt. Replenishing with fresh coolant & pressure testing to ensure fault free engine warm up. Finishing this job list off consisted of a quick brake fluid change, a nice bit of general maintenance work for this modern classic. 

Again, being a fully setup workshop, we have correct brake fluid bleeding equipment, so be it general maintenance or uprating your brakes, OCD garage is set up to service your needs, correctly. Sump - Whilst working through the cambelt replacement, we found a small leak from the engine oil sump. Contacting Dave to quote on this, he informed us he had recently completed an oil change. So we drained & saved the engine oil to reuse. Stripped the sump pan, cleaned the base of the block, checked the oil pump pickup & installed a fresh new sump. Engine oil refilled & level topped off. Another job ticked off! 

Subframe & suspension overhaul - At dropping off Dave mentioned he had experienced an issue with his daily wheels on his Golf, leading him to be a little suspicious of the front suspension components. He asked if we could give everything a overhaul for him, new bearings, ball joints, track rods etc 

Once the main jobs were completed, we quickly moved to stripping the front suspension down. Knowing Dave loves his cars to be tip top, we discussed giving everything an overhaul with him, Dave quickly agreed & authorised us to fully stripped the components right down to their bare bones. 

We stripped the subframe, dogbone mount, TT control arms & hubs right back. They were professionally shot blasted & we finished them in Steel-It Black Stainless paint, a product we personally love here at OCD! Giving a great OEM+ finish, with a huge amount of anti-corrosion protection for years to come. During the reassembly we installed Powerflex bushes through all the components, again giving Dave's Golf that OEM+ touch & bushes that will last years & perform great on the roads. 

All parts used being OEM spec brands, Lemforder, Optimal & Febi. Lanoguard - Lastly we finished Dave's Golf off with a full Lanoguard underbody protection, giving Dave the comfort that his Golf's underside is protected from road dirt & grime whilst adding a final layer of corrosion protection.
